Pocketdish Av700e Crashes

I just got the new Pocketdish 700, basically the Archos product tweaked for use with with Dish Network Satellite system. Really a cool device, at least so far. But, I had it playing some music when not plugged in. It stopped and the screen went dark. But the green "on" light remained illuminated. I tried to power off, power on and hook to my pc. None of which got the unit to respond. I called tech service and they said to let the battery run all the way down and then recharge it. I suggested I just pull out the battery and put it back in but was told that could cause data loss. This makes little sense as I know Archos sells spare batteries (suggesting batteries can safely be removed!).

Anyone else run into this problem? If so, what did you do?

By the way, there seems to be little content on the WWW re: the Pocketdish products. If you want to know something about it, go ahead and ask! I will share what I have learned so far.

Thanks.

Jack

If Archos locks up, hold the power button for 15 seconds, and it should force it off.
