Copying The Text-to-speech Program From The 3200?
« on: May 02, 2006, 04:21:46 am »
Apparently one of the new programs that comes with the 3200 is an English Text-To-Speech program. I think that would be pretty fun to play around with, and I would think it would run on my 3100 if someone could figure out how to copy it. Is there an installer on the CD that comes with the 3200?

its pretty easy to copy that program over, i think.  when i tried playing very big text files, it refuses.  It only works with small text.  FUN!

The license for that is probably linked to the 3200.

by the way, where am I supposed to put flite?  I have a tar.gz package with it, but I don't remember where the flite binary was supposed to go.

Oh, and how is the 3200 text to speech program different from flite?  Is the voice the same?
