upgrade to 3.10, no more connect on mandrake, please help!

My zaurus sl5500 worked ok with the 2.38 rom on mandrake using the suggested settings as found in the Mandrake howto doc, then i upgraded the rom to the official 3.10 release and now i can\'t seem to get a connection, any ideas? Thanks.

got samba connect, can i do something there to pull of the databases, or does qtopia 1.7.0 not yet support the new rom?

This problem is VERY well documented.  It is very difficult to establish any sort of connection between the 3.1 roms and linux and it is not in any way possible to use qtopia desktop.

It is my understanding that with some serious hacking skills, you can get 3.1 networked and syncing using kitchen sync or some similar program.  

The easiest thing to do is to use something like OpenZaurus which connects and syncs flawlessly with linux.
