Hi,

I'm exploring OZ/Opie on my SL-C3000. At first sight I like it very much, it seems to be way faster than the Sharp rom.

I'm wondering if there's any scientific calculator available in OZ/Opie? I was using slcalc on the Sharprom and thought it very usefull.

Thanks!

Pretty sure this isn't the route you want to take, but you could always install Octave... sorta like swatting flies with a cannon, but it'll do any calculation you'd need... Matlab in your pocket.

If you can run X/qt on OZ/Opie then try the following HP emulators:

The slcalc source is available, so it should be possible to add it to OE.

This last option is preferable to me   as I'm one of those finding RPN calculators very difficult to handle....

Installing X/Qt seems to be a total new issue from what I've read around here (didn't manage sofar).

vputz: I'm definitely going to check out octave. Matlab in my pocket sounds great!

I'd been wondering about how easy it would be to port Kcalc to OZ/Opie, since it really doesn't rely on many of the fancy KDE doo-dads. I confess profound ignorance of the KDE/Qt --> Qt/E process...

Works on the 5xxx models. However you do have to modify the slcalc.desktop:

Icon=slcalc
to
Icon=slcalc2.png

to have an icon

Thanks Hrw
