Av500 Turn On Time
« on: August 11, 2006, 09:52:38 am »
holding down the play button on the av500 for 3 secs turns it on , but when it is in my bag it turns itself on because it presses against something.  i want to change it to like 6 seconds, so that it does not turn itself on when in my bag. how can i do this?

Firstly I'd use the lower right keys and choose the lock buttons option.

Secondly I'd treat your AV 500 as fragile, it is!  I recommend a far better case than the one supplied try this it's beautifully made:

[a href=\"http://www.pjbox.co.uk/ARCHOSAV500-ACCESSORIES.htm]http://www.pjbox.co.uk/ARCHOSAV500-ACCESSORIES.htm[/url]]  Archos AV 500 Leather case

I have one and it's great, however I've improved its safety.  Self stick Velcro comes in various widths. I have cut a piece of wide soft looped Velcro to the size of the screen (not including the buttons) and stuck it carefully to the inside front of the case where it now protects the screen and gives a greater space for the buttons.

I then used a couple of narrow pieces of self adhesive Velcro between the back of the Archos and the case. This stops the Archos from inadvertently sliding out of the case.
