Resize Open/save Dialogue
« on: January 31, 2007, 08:46:59 pm »
I thought I had seen a thread somewhere saying how to make the open/save file dialogue fit the screen, but I can't find it now, if it even existed. Can anybody either tell me how to do this or point me to the thread that contained it, should it exist?

Thanks!

Hi Meanie,

as we speak of it, your hacked version, while being a great improvement over the original, still has the OK and Cancel buttons of the file open dialog almost outside scope. They are visible, but parts of them are under the panel.
Is there a setting somewhere, to make it entirely visible, or if not, is there any chance for another version which makes everything visible?
Maybe even the latest GTK libs?

Thank you!
daniel

basically, gtk tries to center the dialog box and because of the bottom panel, part of the bottom of the dialog box is hidden by the panel. it would be possible to hardcode the location of the dialog box to start at 0,0 ...

Is that included in pdaxii13 and pdaxii13-akita ?

When I use Leafpad, the File>Open dialog is much too big and I need to drag it around to use it.

C3200 - running pdaxii13-akita

it's here http://www.tyrannozaurus.com/feed/beta3/cu...-3_armv5tel.ipk

but, it is already included in pdaXii13 (any version)

however, even though if you have this hacked gtk library, not all applications play game. this library tries to catch all misbehaving dialog boxes and resize them, but there are compound widgets that individually fit on the screen, but combined are way too big. in those cases, the application in question has to be hacked... i had to hack a few already but of course there are lots of them and I only hacked the ones I use a lot like gqview, rox, gftp, ...
