Is anyone still out there?

Well this seems like a rural, idyllic, quiet forum with not much going on. What is a ZUG supposed to do anyway - get together for a Guinness and Bluetooth session?

FWIW I am in Belfast and I have a Zaurus SL-5000D with a 64 Mb CF card, 256 Mb SD card, CF modem, CF Bluetooth card. Haven't got into WiFi yet. I have had my Z for about a year, and mostly just used the PIM apps, which I find very useful. Recently I bought the modem/bluetooth cards and reflashed to Hentges ROM with OZ 3.3.6-pre1 and Opie 1.1.3, which I think is great. I have installed a lot more software and now I'm word processing and e-mailing and even using the shopping list manager. I also wrote a little script to get each day's Dilbert cartoon with wget. I have to say that the PIM is still the most useful thing but everything else gives hours of endless fun and I am no longer bored in the dentist's waiting room.

Anyone else out there north of the border?

I have been trying to get OZ to do something useful on a SL-5600 without much success, so I have stuck to Zynergy and recently Watapon.

OZ 3.3.5 QPE looks great, lets me bring up my wifi card with WEP but refuses to see my CF card (which was used to flash OZ and works with OZ 3.3.6) or let me install anything useful. (ass loads of dependency problems, some of them circular)

The opie version refuses to let me bring up my wifi card, making it a nonstarter as my primary usage is via wifi.

The hardware clock losing time problem (phew - I have 24 years before my next meeting) makes any PIM usage very hit and miss.

There are a few Zaurus folks around - where is a very good question though !
