SL-6000 on bargainPDA (first impressions)
« on: April 03, 2004, 10:20:40 am »
The bargainPDA guys sent me a SL-6000 to review - very nice timing because my wife bought me a C860 last week when she was in Japan on a business trip. So I\'ll be comparing the two, going into plenty of detail, and I\'ll keep an eye on these forums for what people are saying about the 6000. If there\'s anything specific which should be covered in a review like mine (very detailed, but without a line-by-line analysis of, e.g., /proc/cpuinfo), feel free to follow up here or there. It\'s not my job to sell the Zaurus but anything we can do to convince those graffiti-toting abacus jockeys to throw away their Axims, iPaqs and Palms - and get a real handheld computer - has to be a good thing, right? We know these devices are better, and they\'ll thank us eventually :-)

The Quick Look (after about 30 minutes use) is on the web site now, http://www.bargainpda.com. The pictures aren\'t great - I was doing this late last night.

Regards, Ian.

Nice approach! I really like the comparative viewpoint and would like to see the usb-host functionality tested in depths. Can\'t wait to read more!

Cheers,

Great review, Ian.

Oh to be financially solvent, so I could finance all the new toys. . .
