Hi can anyone help me with this app?
I d/l it and installed it. that works fine, but then when i went to get the RSV version - I have no idea where to put it. I want it on the CF card, and the help files say there is a link to it in the config file. but all I get is an empty shell. I realize that it is not finding the \"books\" to read. I have the \"rsv book\" here:

/home/samba/CF_Card/usr/share/sword/modules/texts/ztext/rsv
the documentation says it should be here:
data path = ./modules/texts/ztext/rsv
Now is that path the same as mine?

Any help is appreciated.

TIA

Lareya

The translations come as zips, and when you unzip them, you will get a (fairly complicated) directory tree with files in two places.  The first will be a .conf file that will be in ~/mods.d/, and the actual text files will be in ~/modules/texts/[raw|z]texts/[translation name]/.  My translations are in /mnt/card/usr/share/sword/...  I would guess that /mnt/cf/usr/share/sword/ would work as well.

Did you download the prepackaged bible texts like these?

World English Bible -- my favorite public domain bible - read it! (http://ebible.org/)
   http://www.crosswire.org/feeds/arm/modules...web_1.4_all.ipk

RSV -- your pick
   http://www.crosswire.org/feeds/arm/modules...rsv_1.3_all.ipk

All I can say is, I downloaded and installed sword, then installed sword-web IPK and it worked the first time.

Mine\'s a sl-5500.

Enjoy!

My Goodness,       No!

I didn\'t realize there was a feed. I saw only the Qpsword and the unifont, but now I realize there are PACKAGES.
Thank you very much. I suspect this will now fix all my bible problems!  I will try out the world English version, too! I have to do something to fill up my 4gb card

Thanks alot!

D\'oh!  Neither did I...should make future modules much less frustrating to install!

By the way, now that you\'ve loaded two bible versions, how do you switch between them?

Can this Sword reader search the text?

How do I make it change the color of the highlighted verse to something darker so I can see it better?

I\'m thrilled to be reading the bible on my Zaurus, but I\'m new to it -- BibleReader plus for Palm seemed to have more features...  Are there other bible reading programs for Zaurus?  (Mine\'s Qtopia omn the sl-5500)

Thanks.

I found that when you hold the stylus to the page for a few seconds, then a menu will come up., I did not see how to change the font or color of the font. But you can switch versions and do some other stuff.

I still am trying to figure out how to enlarge the font and change the color.
