OZ on SL-C860
« on: June 18, 2004, 09:39:01 am »
Will the OZ ROM work on a Zaurus SL-C860? When I go this page:
http://www.openzaurus.org/oz_website/content/download
I don\'t see a download for my model, the closest choice would be the C700. I know the architecture of the C700 is the same, but the processor is not *exactly* the same, so I would like to have an opinion from someone who knows this ROM.

One other thing, if the OZ people read along here: Why do I have to press three of four times on the arrow of the scroll boxes with options on the mentioned page, to make them fold out? I\'m using Mozilla 1.4.
Best regards,
bb

http://www.openzaurus.org/official/experim...860/3.3.6-pre1/ (I\'d recommend using this, I\'ve this runnong on my C750). You\'ll need to find out what the codeword for your 860 is.

or

http://www.openzaurus.org/official/3.3.5/ (if you really want, but go with the above is my suggestion).

All right. I´ll go with the \'boxer\', since that ought to be the right file for a C860.

Thank you for your answer.

Has anyone else noticed that OZ runs a lot slower then the sharp based ROMS?  I would prefer to run OZ, but it was much slower when I tried it a year ago.  Is this still the case?
