Cursor Control using hardware keyboard?
« on: July 07, 2004, 01:49:53 pm »
How do I enter [HOME] or [END] or cursor up, down, left, right... using the hardware keyboard?

I really appreciate the tab, and shift-tab keys for filling in addressbook entries, but need more cursor control.  Don't you find it frustrating to have to keep the stylus in one hand while also using the hardware keyboard just to move the cursor point?

(Is this a recepie for a dropped PDA or what...)

Thanks,

Home and End are Fn+Left and Right (on the directional pad) respectively, and the up, down, left, and right can be done with the directional pad.

Thanks, Theo -- that works great!

Do you know where I could find a comprehensive reference of hardware keypress combinations?  (I'd never have guessed the Fn-arrow combination - mayber there are others just as handy?)

I'm especially curious about selecting the other running applications using the hard keys.  (The functionality I hope for is like Windows alt-tab that cycles through the open programs.)  It seems like I have to use the stylus to open a running program -- is there another way?

Thanks.

KeyHelper lets you use RightShift + Home to cycle a task list. Search it as keyword for more info.

Hmmm,

OOPS, I should have mentioned that I'm using a sl-5500.

Thank you for the reply, MiamiBob, but I seem to be lacking a HOME key :)
