Re-installing HOTPLUG
« on: July 29, 2004, 10:41:05 am »
Hello, I was having sync problems with my XP to 5500 and read somehwere that I needed to uninstall and then reinstall my Hotplug feeds in order to get it running. I seemed to have uninstalled hotplug ok from the package installer/uninstaller then downloaded the latest from the website and put it on CF and put it in my 5500. Problem is that I cant reinstall it as it says "Package hotplug wants to install files /sbin/hotplug/xxxxx But that file is already provided by package <no package> Please remove this file out of the way and try again."

It repeats this msg over multiple files and I dont know how to install it. When I goto the File manager I dont see the /sbin/ folder there and any thing related to the other files it complains about..

What do I do? Is this because the hotplug depends on "libc6" & "ifupdown" feeds? If so, how do we disable them?

Jesus, this stupid open OZ has taken more time for me to set up then has helped to organise my life...
