Better MacZSync?

As a zaurus newbie, just a few days old. I have the sharp rom 1.40 JP - it was an import from shirtpocket.

I am interested in if the MacSync progs work with this rom, or if anyone has tried to use them ??

Regards,

Ket
I have not got feedback for the (new) ROM but I also don't know of any incompatibilities.

Two packges must run on the device:
* zdbat to access the Sharp DTM database
* openssh to access the Zaurus from the Mac

Both are provided with ZMacSync so you can try to make them running first. If you can access the database through ssh and zdbat, then, ZMacSync will work as well.

Speaking of ZMacSync, when will it be ready for actual syncing of (at least) iCal to Calendar/Todo List and Address Book to Address Book? I don't know about other users, but I'm really looking forward to being able to sync my PowerBook with my Zaurus, and this definatly looks like the most promising way to do it.

Thanks for the response, I have openssh running, it was installed using the IPK from the software index site package, the client and server do work. I've tested this, SSH'd into my PowerBook, from the Powerbook, SCP'd in both directions as well

I will search for zdbat now.

It is also included in the ZMacSync download from http://www.dsitri.de/wiki.php?page=ZMacSync

Just download and unpack. You will find the open-ssh and the zdbat .ipk files in the Tools folder.
