reboot for socket/symbol wifi card
« on: September 13, 2004, 05:56:27 pm »
I find that I have to reboot frequently in order to get my wifi connection to work (860 with standard ROM). I think the failure is triggered by ejecting the wifi card. Is this common, and is there any alternative to the painfully slow reboot that might fix the problem?

Thanks,

James

I am having increasing problems with mine also. I connects and works for awhile then the connection turns red indicating low signal. If I try a site a couple of times, it will say card ejected and then will recognize it as a memory card.  If I eject and reinsert it a couple of times, it will be recognized as a memory card and finally as a DLink yadda yadda. It has gotten much worse in the last few months. I don't know if I have loaded something that conflicts or what.
