I have my Garmin eTrex Legend working fine with qpeGPS and the RoadmapGPS portion of zroadmap, but when I try to run Roadmap, I get an error and program terminates. I downloaded the map of VA and I copied it to the .roadmap directory (for want of any other ideas). I have a couple of questions:
1) What do I do to fix the error?
2) Where do I put my maps?
3) Do I leave the maps in .tar.gz format or do I need to uncompress them?
I have read all of the posts that I could find and went to some other referenced websites, but they seem to assume that you already know the answer to these questions. Any assistance is appreciated.
