help with zroadmap
« on: September 16, 2004, 01:58:07 pm »
I have my Garmin eTrex Legend working fine with qpeGPS and the RoadmapGPS portion of zroadmap, but when I try to run Roadmap, I get an error and program terminates. I downloaded the map of VA and I copied it to the .roadmap directory (for want of any other ideas). I have a couple of questions:

1) What do I do to fix the error?
2) Where do I put my maps?
3) Do I leave the maps in .tar.gz format or do I need to uncompress them?

I have read all of the posts that I could find and went to some other referenced websites, but they seem to assume that you already know the answer to these questions. Any assistance is appreciated. If you reference another post, please provide a link. If you reference another site, please provide something more specific than the homepage. Thanks.

1) What do I do to fix the error?

What is the error?

Run it from the terminal and post the output, etc.
