oz login : no keyboard working
« on: September 16, 2004, 03:26:29 pm »
Hi guys.  I just ran into a problem with my 5500.  Ive been using OZ succesfully fior quite some time and decided to finally add Email support to it.

I installed Qtmail and added a line to the /etc/Profile file.  I rebooted opie but now I simply get the "openzaurus login:" prompt.

The puzzling this is that my keyboard does not work so I can not login.  I get odd characters from some keys, and absolutly nothing from tothers.  For example  cancel = ' "'  M=CARRIAGE RETURN..  FN+O = ' 1' .

How can I logon to this machine.  I tried ftping in, but I can not connect that this point.  I really dont want to reflash

Any suggestions?

(oz is version 3.2)

ftp won't work for what you want in any case. Try using ssh to log-in and un-make the changes you made.
