The LED's are blinking. It it flashing?
« on: September 22, 2004, 04:54:19 pm »
I am not completely sure if my SL-5600 is flashing with the latest  version of OZ or not. Did as the instructions said, and both LED's on the PDA started blinking... Has been doing it for about half and hour and I don't know if it does this when its flashing the PDA or that it can't because of something. However as I obviously don't want to damage it I can't really touch it until I know its safe to, and if so what can I safely press/do.

If it is blinking, flashing may have failed.

Flashing should take only 2 to 5 minutes, not half an hour.

(at least for a SL5500)

This sounds like the typical "using the 5500 flash instructions for the 5600 not knowing that the latter has a completely different flash method". Read openembedded.org wiki for the correct installation instructions for your device.

openzaurus.org is pretty outdated (read: dead) except news and newsletters. We can't seem to find anyone motivated to take care about the website.

Would it be worth removing the site front page and redirecting to to the OE wiki (or a page therein), that way it could be kept maintained and up to date without needing to rely on one person.

Obviously the file hosting, etc. would still be needed.

Just a thought.
