IMAP clients?
« on: November 11, 2003, 04:11:29 pm »
Where are the IMAP clients for the zaurus?

The only two I\'ve found are qtmail and opie-mail2.  Opie-mail2 is incomplete and doesn\'t even have a connect button.  Qtmail insists on downloading (or previewing) all the mail in my account (tens of thousands of messages from mailing lists, etc).

Are there other IMAP mailers that I\'ve missed?  Isn\'t there demand for one?  I\'m afraid my snazzy new Zaurus will find itself on auction at eBay if it can\'t even manage simple email.

My zaurus experience has been a roller coaster ride.  Its great that I can overcome SSL deficiencies in mail apps with inetd/stunnel magic.  But I can\'t even get a basic mailer.

Exactly the question I wanted to ask here... tkcMail was announced with IMAP support and limiting feature - they took IMAP from the list :-(.

Hi,
I had the same problem, because all the bboards are also in IMAP.
To only get your folder you to edit the qtmail binary. To do that just open the binary in a hex editor and change the line where it downloads the folders to download only your folders. I forgot the specifics, but I am sure some of you can figure it out.

On the SL-5600, IMAP4 is supported by the default Mail application.

Does anyone know which line needs to be changed I\'ve looked and cannot find it
