« on: January 05, 2004, 06:37:41 am »
I want to syncro the data in my C860 with the desktop (win98SE).

I cant install the japanase intellisync on my cd (leaving with a message error).

I have a qtopia install from august (trying) no responding and cant uninstall, not appareaing in the control panel \"remove software\".

Then I need, either:

a) a intellisync working application in english, french or spanish

or

a way to remove the qtopia an to know what qtopia install in place

Somebody can help ?

I assume you are running the Cacko/Qtopia ROM or something similar.  I got board with the sharp ROM and installed various other ROMs about ten minutes after receiving my 860 and finally decided on the Cacko/Qtopia ROM.  It is excellent!!  Anyway I got the following instructions from this site (don\'t remember where) but they where effectively as follows and they worked great for me:

1) Install the USB drivers from the C860 Japanese CD that came with your Zaurus.  You do this by making sure the pclink in the Zaurus settings menu is set to \"USB - I/O (default)\".  Then plug the Zaurus into the USB port on your computer.  Windows will recognize the new USB device and when asked for the location of the drivers.  Select the CD rom containing the Japanese CD.  If you\'ve already installed some USB drivers but they aren’t the drivers from the CD then you might want to replace them.  To replace the drivers plug your C860 into the computer, open the device manager on your PC and uninstall the Zaurus USB drivers listed under the USB device section and if present the network section.  Then reinstall the drivers from the CD.
2) Install the latest version of Intellisync.  To do this, download the file called \"5500v31u.zip\" from \"http://community.zaurus.com/project/showfiles.php?group_id=5\".
3) Unzip the file and go to the directory called \"Pcsoft\" then run the setup.exe.  This installs the latest version of Intellisync.  You should now be able to sync.

With this version of Intellisync and the USB drivers that came with your Zaurus you will have Outlook synchronization, file transfer, and by changing the Zaurus PC Link settings from “PC Link Setting” to ”Storage” you’re 98 machine should automatically mount your SD or CF cards as drives.

that\'s because you download the 5500v310Apps.zip instead of the 5500v31u.zip

Oh no... you grabbed the wrong file.  You want \"5500v31u.zip\" not \"5500v310Apps.zip\".  Your file is a little further down the page.  Here try this shortcut \"http://community.zaurus.com/download.php/36/5500v31u.zip\".

I\'ve found the above links to be unbearably slow.
This link, however, is much faster:
