I purchased the SL-C860 from Dynamism. They did the half-a$$ conversion to english that they do. I haven't flashed the ROM, so I'm still on the original Sharp OS. I tried Qtopia's pen-software, but it leaves something to be desired. The Dynamism guys had originally shipped with no pen-software and sent me to handhelds.org and the ipkg finder to get Opie. Trouble is, I can't seem to get it to install correctly. At first I used the pre-packaged Qtopia Add/Remove icon. When that failed, I downloaded and installed ipkg from the ipk finder. When I use that from the shell, I get a bunch of errors. I tried the -force variable, and I can see that the code has "installed" but the interface doesn't appear. I've gone around in circles with this since Monday, and I'm pretty much tearing my hair out. What am I doing wrong?
