Just an update. I've had two people compile this for me!
I would like to thank Jeff Baker and Kenroy Harrison, they both compile the app for me and dropped me an email so i'm all set! I still need to test it out but first I need to get my MAC on my wireless card registered with my schools lab so I can test it out.
The software acts as a VMPS (VLAN Management Policy Server), it stores a list of mac addresses and cooresponding VLANs. When a computer plugs into a cisco switch it will query the server (in this care, my zaurus) and see what VLAN the computer belongs on or if it should just shutdown the port. It's a pretty cool tool, I've got it running on my Ubuntu Linux box and I thought when I give a presentation on this next week it would be impressive to show the server running on a PDA as a backup to the main server (my laptop).
Anyways, thanks again!
