Would any of you guys be interested in something along this line? We are speaking with them directly about this for zaurus accessories and they say they will have linux drivers available first quarter of next year. My question is do many of you have a need for something along these lines for us to pursue

it looks interesting, but I think I'd have to try one to see if I liked it and then
I'd have to compare with the price to see if it was worth it.

Their web site says it connects to a compact flash card, so I guess you couldn't use wifi with it then.

WoW, I have been wanting something like that since, since, well, the first Bush presedency.  Personally, I don't have a real need for it, but i would get it for the racoon factor.  I probably wouldn't be able to spend more than a couple of hundred dollars on it 'thou.

touched since I got the 6k

One way to tell how likely they are to meet the dealine is to ask the musical question:  "Is someone already working on the driver?".  If so,  the odds are much better than they would be if it were just on a "To do" list.

Price is going to be a huge factor,  since this is more "toy" than "tool" for most of us.  It's almost not worth bothering to ask about interest until you have a dollar amount to include in the question.

As awesome as that looks, I probably would not get it if it connected into compact flash.  My compact flash slot is used by many other things and this would be handy for watching movies, browsing the web with, or being able to read the terminal easier when I SSH into other computers.  Unfortunately, for all those things, the compact flash slow requires other devices in it.

As well, it says it has no external power supply, so I wonder how much it'd draw from the battery.

Regardless, looks very awesome and if they could figure out some other input method (Sharp serial port?) I'd purchase.

Streamline, I'd really ask to give it a try before stocking it, or investing any kind of time/money into it.
Most imaging head-strapped device offer poor performance, and you usually end up with a splinting headache after a couple of hours of use.

I'm convinced those devices need to improve by the same order portable computers improved in the past 15 years or so. (from a 50 pounds steel case with a handle to a 2 pounds carbon shelled high performance machine)
