Memory Breakdown On 6000

How is memory/storage handled on the 6000? I know that the 5000d/5500 use DRAM for both RAM and storage, which is really cool, cuz I can move my storage to SD and use the full 64MB as RAM. Can I do something similar on the 6000? I am kinda leery of doing this if the 6000 uses Flash memory.

Correct, you cannot. The 6000 has 64mb of sdram that is system memory, the user area is in the flash memory, If I remember correctly about 23mb is available to you out of the box.
In essence the trick of moving /home to sd card so that all available memory can be used by programs is already done for you but instead of using the sdcard they use the interior flash.  It's the way the sl-5600 SHOULD have been done in the first place etc.
I guess that goes to show that Sharp CAN actually learn from it's user base and improve their products accordingly... now if we can just get them to realize they learned that neat trick from American product users, maybe they'll realize what a huge mistake they have made abandoning this market.
But probably not... *sigh*

Off topic here NeuroShock, but in looking at your impressive list of achievements concerning the 6K a couple of questions come to mind.

Assuming you have hooked more than one of those USB slaves up to your 6K at the same time, what brand and model USB hub did you use, and was it powered or not.

Did you ever experience freezing of your 6K up when hooking up any of them, and if so under what conditions?

Ok, that's really more than a couple of questions. A thousand pardons please.
