How To Using Gpe And Opie On Same Time?
« on: December 21, 2004, 09:52:58 am »
How to using GPE and Opie on Same time? But without move ROOT to SD, this is really a bad ideia!

And DOC on OZ site is not update.... this tutorial dont work for 3.5.2! ... I have tried and I got X to work in VT 2 and Opie on VT 3.... but I cant load gpe-dm....     I have made this:

#ipkg install libcairo1 -d sd
#ipkg install -force-depends -d sd xserver-kdrive-fbdev
#ipkg install -force-depends -d sd gpe-base-depends gpe-task-base gpe-task-settings

And create symlinks to all, not in /etc, files on /mnt/card/etc .... to /etc

But it dont works... any ideia?

nope. sure doesn't work.
claims to need diet-x11 and virtua;/xserver

dietx11 only showed up on my system ( I have 3.5.2 and 3.5.1 mirrored, and openembedded loaded --if I can ever get i t working) in the oe build system stuff. virtual/xserver showed noplace.

This is the kind of thing that drives me absolutley nuts about oz..."You can do this marvelous thing with OZ--except you can't"  I tried this because opie 3.5.2 seemd s to kinda break xqt most things in pocketworkstation under xqt were fine, but firefox gabve a bus error-I took that as a sign all was kinda unwell. (and this is a better solution--if it would work)

well I guess if we keep plugging away we can make it function.  I have to get oe working anyway....  once again the firefox in the feed doesn't actually run. sigh.
