Cacko 1.22 - Key Combination For ?
« on: January 05, 2005, 04:57:24 pm »
Hello, I have a problem.

How is the key combination for the "question mark" (?)  on the keyboard?
I use a C760 with Cacko-ROM 1.22.

Sorry for my bad english.

Regards
Lutz

The question mark (?) and period (.) are on the same key just above the "Menu" key.  Pressing shift and this key should produce a (?), at least it does for me in all editors, wordprocessing and terminal programs.

[Shift]+[?] does nothing on any program.
Also a change of the character sets does not bring a success. What can I do?

Thanks for your answer.

Hello Lutz,

I don't know which keytable you use, but in my german keytable is the same problem.

You can solve the problem, when you edit your own keytable.
- open mc (Midnight Commander) and move to '/home/root/Applications/cyrillica'.
- select your favorit language
- press <alt> + <4> for edit
- insert in the section [keyboard] following line
'?'   '?'   '.'
- press <alt> + <2> for save and confirm with [save]
- after that you have to reset your languagerelations
-- start ->Settings->Keyboard
-- press <OK>

(careful, for german there are two keymaps, edit the 'deutsch'-keymap, it ist the better-one)

that's all

I hope that'll solve your problem
