Neocal & Tree!explorer In Cacko
« on: January 09, 2005, 09:26:58 pm »
I have purchased these full versions and am wondering whether I can
just install them over the preinstalled cacko free versions? Is it this simple
or do I need to somehow uninstall (if so how) the free versions?
Thanks for any help with this.

I didn't think tree explorer was in the Cacko 1.22 ROM - anyway I have installed the full version straight on and it works fine.

Tree!Explorer is in the feed, but is not part of the ROM.  So, there should be no problem with installing the registered package instead of the one from the feed.  The neocal binary in the ROM is on the readonly part of the ROM image.  So you will not be able to reclaim that space, but you should be able to just install the registered package without problems.

Thanks for letting me know. The logical follow up is - can you guys please make neocal optional for the upcoming slimed-down version of the ROM?
