Set System Time Stuck On Cacko
« on: January 08, 2005, 05:17:24 am »
Every reset, there will be a dialog that asks for the system time/date.

After setting it and clicking OK, it just hangs there. And the little icon below is there.

Clicing "X" closs it (but my system clock is in 2003 !), and when i run it again, it will hang after clicking OK.

Am running on a SL-C700 with Cacko 1.22

Sorry, this is the first time I see such a problem. Can you recall what did you do (what packages installed) before this started to happen?  Can you perform a full reflash of 1.22 and see if problem persists?

I reflashed, and it was fixed.

I did some modifications and it failed to work again.

The fix for this is to enable atd back again (i had previously tried to free up memory by clearing up some stuff in /etc/rc.d/rc5.d) removing stuff, rebooting, one by one and traced it to atd.

Just wondering, why does "set system time/date" need atd ?
