Cf Odd Behaviour
« on: January 11, 2005, 10:09:02 am »
When I turn on my 860 my CF card does not appear if I do a df.
However the cf/sd monitor shows a green blob. If I touch this it goes red and then touch again and it goes green. The df command then shows the card until I next switch on when I have to repeat the process.
This is a bit annoying   . Anybody got the answer??

Does this happen only when you are plugged into a PC via USB?

I find that if the USB settings are set to share the CF card over USB the Zaurus and the PC cannot both have access at once.

if you disconnect from the PC you should get the CF card back.

Can't you borrow a cf card from someone, just to see if the problem comes from  the particular cf you have (or not)?

Hi.

I have a same trouble on my CF card. My CF card is a IBM MicroDrive 340MB.
I think it needs more power to wake up. Most CF cards drives on 3.3V, but my MicroDrive drives on 5V.
