Newbie Question On The Cl3000
« on: January 18, 2005, 01:25:02 pm »
Ok, laugh away at my questions!

Wondering, does the Zaurus CL3000 turn right on like a palm or does it take time to "boot up"?

Also wondering how hard it is to "port" programs to the Zaurus CL3000, I used to have a dual boot Windblowz XP and Linux desktop machiine, but never gor around to any custom work.

I have found pricing for these at pricejapan.com ,shirtpocket and dynamism, and of course there is alwasy Ebay. Are these respected sellers? Are there any other sources?

Thanks
Chris

Don't worry about asking questions, Chris!

I've asked my share and still do....

After you've setup your C3000 (date, time, etc) you turn it on/off just like a palm. So 'instant on/off'.

However, there is an option to reboot your Z from the 'Qtopia' menu. So you can reboot it if needed or wanted....

Suppose it depends upon how familiar you are with Linux/development...others can probably give you a more specific answer than this...

From everything I've read, yes, they are respected....I'm sure others will chime in with their experiences.

Yes, Conics.net!

Have dealt with Conics several times before and always had a very good experience.

BTW, I've had a C760 and C860 before getting my C3000. You can't go wrong with any of them, but I really like my new C3000 a lot. The keyboard/keys are great and so is all the storage capacity....
