Vlc And Dvd Streaming
« on: January 24, 2005, 12:07:56 pm »
Hello everyone...

Has anyone of you been able to stream a DVD to your zaurus ? There seems to be a pb with transcoding a52 dvd audio files. The bug is already submitted to VLC's developpers, but i wonder if by any chance someone had found a solution here ?

Thanks

pgas

I've been able to stream a DVD, but I've only done this once just to see it working.

Though I don't know what format was used for the sound on this particular DVD
so it may  not works with another DVD

I've post a thread about streaming to the Z  in these forum If you want to see how
I did it.

yeah, thanks pgas... I know about your previous thread, and it works really fine.

The point is that some of the VLC users on several OS have met this audio transcoding pb and partially solved it in different ways (runnig VLC with a priority "behond normal" for example on Win2K or muxing on the recieving post several streams... ). I just wondered if a pdaxrom user had solved it a way or another because i have not been able to do it.

There is the power of the zug... ergh, sorry, the oesf
