C3000 : Using As Usb Mass Storage Device On Linux
« on: March 11, 2005, 03:15:49 pm »
New owner of a C3000 (via Dynamism), and while I'm loving it, I'm brand new to the market, and I'm a bit left behind.  I'm asking my questions in separate threads to avoid chaos.

How do I get the Z to appear as an external USB mass storage device to my Linux (Debian) box?  Every time I plug in the USB cable it starts to sync.  (something I'm not currently trying to do)

My linux box should be configured to handle it...it treats my digital camera as mass storage with no problem.

Hi,
I don't know why but just after connected the c3000 through the usb cable, you have to unplug and plug again right after a second time both in Windows and in Linux to let appear the microdrive as a standard USB storage device. This issue does't happen if you use the mass storage feature with the CF or SD slot.
