Name At Bottom Of Topic In Italic
« on: March 27, 2005, 05:54:03 pm »
I'd never noticed this until about 2 min ago, but if you visit a topic that someone is writing a reply too (I presume this is what was happening - I'd initially thought that it might indicate it was that person's birthday today), their name appears in italics at the bottom (whereas all the other viewers appear in normal font). Very snazzy (fairly useless mind you as I tend to open all of the unread pages on the site in one go then go through one by one - all praise firefox and tabbed browsing! - if it could push the status that might be better).

It also took until today for me to work out how to see which topics I'd replied too (little white thing on the corner of the icon).

Perhaps the holiday has un-adled my brain; then again, perhaps going out too much has in fact made it worse and I'm just seeing things :-).

Lardman,

I'll take your word for it on the italics thing.

As for the little white thing on the corner of the icon -- you're correct, it does mean a thread that you participated in. And, I swear, that this is a new feature -- I've missed having this indication that the old board software used to provide -- although I still feel that the old system's dot was more noticible.

Another thing I noticed today is that my unread groups don't get marked as "read" as soon as I visit the first group, so I wonder if ORG recently upgraded the board software...
