OK, then, I think we'll probably order through StreamLineCPUs... I'm just waiting a bit in case Marc from TRISoft has something better to propose, though, or in case someone else decide to join the group order.

I'll be out of reach anyway for the next 24 hours or so, I'll probably make the order next Monday. I'll let you guys know when I have a more precise estimate of the final price, and before ordering, so that you know where you're going.

Update: TRISoft can ship the cables to me in a mail envelope without adding shipping cost, so the cables would cost 10 Euros (US$13) plus around 2 US$ shipping from my home to your mailbox, so here we're talking about somthing like 12 Euros (15 to 16 US$). That seems interesting to me, especially since the shipping from Germany to France is going to be a lot quicker and safer than US->US->France...

I suggest that order from TRISoft, does that suit everyone? I could send the order Friday (tomorrow) afternoon, and the cables would certainly be available next week...

OK, that's two users (and half of the cables) in favor of the StreamLineCPUs cables. (as for me, I'll join the decision of the majority, whatever it is...)

Oh, BTW, I just received a kind proposal from them (StreamLineCPUs), they can make us a "special ZUG user" price for such a group order, which would make the cable 10% cheaper!

ztep, systemparadox, would you wait two months or throw $4 in the basket?

I think I prefer the streamlinecpus cable anyway - the surround on the mini-a connector looks smaller and the white/black is definately much better looking with a 6k than the light-grey/brown iriver cable.
I don't mind paying a little extra- it sounds like the shipping isn't going to be too bad.

Sounds good to me, are the TRISoft cables the same as the streamlinecpus cables?

Thanks a lot euroclie - don't know when or where I would have got one of these otherwise.

OK, I'm initiating the order of 10 cables from TRIsoft...

I'll let you know as soon as the order is processed (i.e. when the payment will be done and the parcel shipped to me).

I wanted to thank both StreamLineCPUs and TRISoft for their help, it's rare to see this level of customer care in the PDA or computer industry, but then maybe that's a "Linux attitude" collateral effect...

OK, Marc from TRISoft has posted the cables yesterday, they weren't in my mailbox this morning, so hopefully they'll be there tomorrow...

If that's the case, I'll post them immediately, so I need everyone involved to send me ASAP the appropriate mail address to ship the cable(s) to.

If the cables aren't in my mailbox tomorrow, then I'll post them next monday (because I'll be away from home for 4 days starting tomorrow evening). Keep your fingers crossed!

Still waiting for the cables to arrive... I'm leaving in a couple of hours now, so it seems unlikely that they'll make it to my mailbox before I depart.

If you don't hear anything from me today, assume that they didn't arrive, and that I'll get them next Monday at worst. I'll then ship them ASAP.

Sorry about the delay, guys... You wouldn't believe how many time I've refreshed the parcel tracking page - to no avail, as it hasn't changed a bit since yesterday evening.

WOOHOO!!! MY CABLES CAME TODAY!!! My 6k now rivals laptops!
*goes and buys every usb device he can find- ethernet, bluetooth, mice, hubs, card readers...*

My USB flash disk and a mini-hub worked out the box, my usb mouse lights up (need to find out how to get it to do something with QPE) and my SL-5500 will charge off it (I think I messed up the 5500's USB settings ).

A big thankyou to Trisoft, StreamlineCPUs, and of course, Euroclie.
