I have install KO/PI from upgrade feed. I get this error on installation:

Installing kapi (2.1.1-r0) to sd...
Configuring kapi
Linking packages installed in: sd
Error linkling '/media/card/packages/opt/QtPalmtop/pics/kdepim/korganizer/fileexport.png' to '/opt/QtPalmtop/pics/kdepim/korganizer/fileexport.png'.... (It looks package manager doesn't install icons)

I have test version from pi-sync web and that version works.

Thanks, for fixing that ugly sound... and all the other work you've done with OE.

I'd love to try a working package for gpe-nmf...
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=75731\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Will do this as soon as I have time - in the mean time, there's gxine in the upgrades feed, which does a much better job, last I checked.

I did try to install opie-mediaplayer2, but I could not find libxine1 library, it was a dependency, I did find only libxine,

so I did install libxine, and I did change dependecy in control file of opie-mediaplayer package from libxine1 -> libxine
I cannot find libxine1 or libxine. Also, if I found libxine, I wouldn't know how to change the control file of opie-mediaplayer...
Any help?

Works great!

I installed the opie-mediaplayer2-skins first. Then used the gui packaged manager to install opie-mediaplayer2... everything installed properly and it sounds very good with mp3s. I should note before someone thinks they have a problem, that the package manager showed a little linking error at:

*** Command: add
*** Locating package
Package "libxine1" not found.
Symbolic linking failed!

But it is linked (libxine) and works properly.

Thanks

Greg

@gentoosiastix:

On something other than a 5500/5000D?

Go to ~/Settings/opiexine.cf

and uncomment the 'audio.oss_sync_method:softsync' line

Can I request a rebuilt libqpe1 ?

I put in a bug report in the OPIE tracker about window sizes on my device and the response was that I need a replacement libqpe1 to get full screen use.

To HRW:

in my C750 I added the feed ..../machine/c7x0, so I could upgrade the orinoco-modules and orinococ-modules-cs.

But after the upgrade, I see those modules:
1) are installed under /lib/modules/2.4.18..., while they should be installed under /lib/modules/2.6.11/

2) after manually copying them to /lib/modules/2.6.11/, modprobe can find the modules but there's an execution error, that looks while they weren't compiled for this kernel

Can you please review this, or should I post a bug report ?

To rpurdie

following your suggestion, I upgraded the kernel to the latest found at http://www.rpsys.net/openzaurus/packages/, and it seems it performed OK:
1) I have since lost the graphical startup with the nice half-face. Is there anything I can set to turn-it back?

2) Is there any package in the same feed that its mandatory to install with this new kernel? Or I just can install the modules I need by my hardware?

3) I'm learning to fast-type!!

Thanks both in advance.

Most stuff was compiled into the kernel, hence the lack of additional modules in the feed.

No, it's a kernel patch - looks like RP turned it off for his build.
