Oddly, My Sd Card Is Funky....

Ok, so since I can't sync with my desktop here at work (novell, havent bothered getting into anything there just yet), I was going to copy some ipk's over via sd.  My dazzle 10 in one card reader just wont write to the card! My CF card works fine, but the SD keeps saying its write protected - which it isn't.  Works fine in the Z.  Any ideas?

what desktop OS?

if windows, do right mouse/properties and see what it says

if linux, maybe card mounted with wrong ownership of files?
