What has the Cacko Team been up to?
« on: January 25, 2004, 01:57:58 pm »
After a flurry of releases and enhancements from the Cacko Team, seems like things have quieted down. Anyone from the Cacko team willing/able to update us on what you\'ve been up to and what the next release might bring?

I for one have been very impressed and pleased with the work they\'ve done so far and am anxiously awaiting the promise of a PIM app that will sync (with windows or Linux) which will make the move to the X11 ROM a permanent one for me.

Hi Jerry

I just flashed my SL-C700 with the latest Cacko ROM. Works great, only, I seem to have lost my SD, well anyway it doesnt show up in the \"systemtray\" anymore. When I look in systeminfo, its still there. Can you tell me what goes on. Would be great if you (or anyone else) could help me on this.

I cant seem to get a working touchscreen on my C700..  The calibration doesnt seem to work very well and when I touch the screen with the stylus it is always seemingly clicking about a 2cm to the right.  I recalibrated a couple of times and it doesnt seem to improve.  Anyone have an idea?

Well, here\'s my little update on what we\'ve been up to. Me personally, My main computer\'s motherboard died. so i was stuck using my webserver for a while till i could get a new motherboard. Only having an after school job, it took me a while to save up for a new one. But I finally got one a couple days ago, so i will start work on it again. I haven\'t been able ot talk to Sash much lately either, But as far as i know, we are still working on the ATI code.

Great job guys!

Is there any plans to incorporate the gnome-java bindings? And the automated screen rotation?

Also, I would not mind having a clear, step by step, instructions to setup a development environment. This would allow more people to contribute. Sources for this are too spreadout. I will try to contribute of course to such documentation as soon as I have some time!!

Keep on the good job! I can\'t wait to see what your are working on!
