Cacko Flashing On 5500
« on: June 03, 2005, 02:07:54 am »
I have a problem trying to flash cacko rom (file sl5500_cacko_beta-2.4.18.zip find on ZUG) :
I first reboot whithout SD, make partition and ext2 file system.
When rebboting second time (typing exit from shell), I got the following message :

INIT: version 2.78 booting
e2fsck 1.19, 13-Jul-2000 for EXT2 FS 0.5b, 95/08/09
ext2fs_check_if_mount:  No such file or directory while determinig whether /dev/mtdblock1 is mounted.
Pass 1: Checking inodes, blocks, and sizes

Then nothing . . .
I did all the procedure severall times (from downloading ROM image), but got allways the same behaviour . . .

I am not sure but I think I already succeed in flashing this ROM on my Zaurus.

Does anyone know what is wrong,   Zaurs, SD, ... ?

It looks like your flash went well but for some reason it doesn't like your card.
You did flash the zImage AND initrd.bin right?

Make sure that:

a. you actually set up a partition on the SD card(print the partition table)
b. formatted the partition ext2.

Many Sd cards come without a partition actually established. (go figure)

**edit**
sorry I should have re-read your post before responding. If this card isn't working you may want to try another, I went through 5 different brands before I found one that would work for me.
