Kismet Issue Starting Ui
« on: June 05, 2005, 01:14:21 pm »
On OZ 3.5.3 starting kismet I am getting error opening terminal linux killing server. I added the following lines to the kismet export TERMINFO=/usr/share/terminfo, export TERM=linux. I issued the export TERMINFO /usr/share/terminfo command and added export TERMINFO=/usr/share/terminfo to /etc/profile.

Solved: I used the instructions at
http://www.irongeek.com/i.php?submenu=zaur...s/generalosinfo
to successfully install kismet on oz 3.5.3. Apparently it only works when you install all ncurses and kismet files to ram rather then an sd card with ipkg-link.

I used those instructions as well and everything works fine.  However, how do you scroll down the list of "gathered" networks?  Anyone figured this out?

use the "s" key to sort the networks.. e.g. "sF" to sort in reverse time seen. then you can scroll down and hit enter to view details.

it does tell you when you hit up or down key, if you've not hidden the message window.
