Actually, I did try that before changing my hosts file, and it didn\'t work, it does now even though I have removed the entry from my hosts file.

In fact now I\'ve put my hosts file back it\'s all broke again.
the direct links bring up the main page, but any sublinks go back to sharpusa.

Adding

66.180.235.229 www.zaurus.com
back into my hosts file fixes it again.

Just as a datapoint, I\'m getting the redirect to www.sharpusa.com/zaurus and the \"Under Construction\" when I click on the Developers section.  So, no, nilch, I don\'t think you\'re hallucinating.

My guess is they are moving to another server/service provider.  The DB for the forum has probably been transferred to the new server and shut off on the old server.

This is just a sloppy move.

Maybe I should post a \"this site is about to go down!\" message into the general section to give a bit of warning to the few people who can still get on

We have not had a single post from anyone at sharp since spencer left

It\'s common courtesy to let people who depend on the site for problem resolution know that it will be going down.

what I meant was, I wonder if they are doing an overhaul on the site maybe because of a 6000 announcement?  Are they preparing it for enteprise support?  Maybe getting rid of the developer program altogether?

everything just seems to be so up in the air with sharp since Spencer left...  big bummer...

The verbage on the site does not seem to support the closure of the devnet/forums yet, but the first two scenarios seem logical.

Yep, you\'ve definitely gone mad...  ;)

I just cleared my cache, and even tried it in a different browser (boy the devnet board is ugly in netscape!).  I was prompted to log in, and it took me to the board...

I see the emperor\'s new clothes.

Actualy I get the same - http://www.sharpusa.com/zaurus/

It  could be a \'Brit\' thing only - however I\'ve spent all day in 2 different companies getting rid of the \"MyDoom\" bloody dam thing on stupid M$ machines, and the whole net has gone barking-mad with virus stuff over here.
Ref: http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/56/35189.html

Also sourceforge is unavailable due to this - amongst many other servers.

It may be a coincidence but for the uk net it is a big prob.

However I see that it\'s aimed at SCO - hmmm - reserve comment ;-)
