By ebooks, I meant the actual file that you download and put on your Z. See links above.
Ebook formats, I meant to refer to the format of downloaded file, text file, html file, plucker file, MS Reader lit file etc. Opie-Reader works with most of the unsecured formats (non-DRM), but plucker and html are my favorites (plucker over html just for size reasons).

Project Gutenburg is probably your best place to look for classics and they are generally in text or html format and work without problems with opie-reader.

If you can't find the book you want easily on the lists above, give me a bell, I probably have it sitting on my hard disk from the ebook download frenzy I went on when I first got my Z. Currently have around 700 ebooks that I'm working my way through.

Thank you Stu! I visited many sites last night in getting started. This one was the one that I ended up downloading 6 or 7 from, (http://etext.library.adelaide.edu.au/titles.html), though I'd like to find more. Being so new to eBook reading I chose to download what I did in html files because when created by chapter they are of a more manageable size, and I can then build a section on my documentation menu for them.

Does opie-reader do a more sophisticated job of collating and presenting them than Opera can when they are in html format?

Thank you for your offer. If you have any by Hemingway or John Masters and would like to share them, or point me to where they can be found I'd appreciate it. Another good read is "The Far Pavillions" my M.M. Kaye. She also had another good one though the name eludes me at the moment. 'The Captains and the Kings" or anything else by Taylor Caldwell, such as "Dynasty of Death" are also top-notch novels that I would very much like to find in some etext format that my Z could read.

Best Regards,

gdog

tombraider,

I get a connection refused when trying to connect to that ip. Do you have an actual URL? Captains and the Kings is a great read. I don't know what an IRC undernet is

Thanks,
