Where Does Sharp Tell Customers About The Gpl?

I have a SL-5600. I can not find the place where Sharp informs me that Linux is licensed under the GNU GPL. (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt) Also, I can not find where they provide a written offer to provide the source code. Places I have looked include the rom image, documentation downloaded from www.sharpusa.com and www.myzaurus.com, and documentation included on the CD.

I know that I can get the source code elsewhere on the web, but I would like to get it directly from Sharp Electronics Corporation (USA).

Actually, only if you bought a first hand Zaurus does Sharp need to inform you of any licenses. Since they no longer supply, support or market the 5600, they do not need to supply the sources in perpetuity.

Sharp's Japanese ROM download pages appear to mention the GPL. See http://developer.ezaurus.com/sl_j/source/source_dl_c750.htm as an example. Nothing about the GPL says the offer has to be in English

The source offer has to come with the device, being mentioned on a website elsewhere is irrelevant. Fortunately, as my second post on the thread indicates, I was able to obtain the actual offer that comes with the device. (In English)
