it really doesn\'t matter to me.  whatever is easiest for you.  my only experience is with the openzaurus ones and the basic sharp ones and either worked great for me.  thanks alot!

Ok, but since this is a preference to many people, see what you can find that looks good and let me know the name.  I will work on them.

For a calendar application, Korganizer/KoPi would be great. I switched to it
from Sharp calendar a few weeks ago and I\'m not going back.

On the other hand, Evolution is still my desktop calendar, but it might be too big
both physically and screen estate wise.

Does \"kino2\" video player work for the pdaXrom?  If not is there a port in the works?  Has anyone compiled a video player yet?  Also it would be great if the \"The Kompany\" programs could run on the X11 Rom...  (wish list)   :wink:

Thanks in advance,

I am looking into KoPi and Qualendar.  The only problem is that they are dependent on Qt libs that do not currently exist for the x11 ROM so I am not trying to compile all of the libs for the ROM.  As well, I did find some nice PIMs that require Python and Pyqt, so I have compiled Python for the ROM (yet I think Sash already have Python compiled) and will start testing those once I get back from visiting with my family this weekend.

Hello all,
   I\'m a new Zaurus 5500, 750 and 860 user.  I think that these gadgets are great.  I\'m currntly running Cacko X11 rom on my 750 and 860.  At first glance of the X11 roms it SEEMED to me that there was a lack of pim apps available for it.  I\'m definitely interested in contributing some development time for porting and producing applications under the X11 roms on the Zaurus.
  I\'m currently working on porting KOrganizer.  I got it to work on my Zaurus C750 running running pdaXrom (have not tested it on the 860 yet, but assume it would work ).  There are some icons missing in the calendar dialog box, but other than that, its working well.  It took me some time  to get a  development environment going -- but all is well now.  I now need to figure out how to package this thing and make a .pkg out of it.  I still have a lot to learn but on the right track -- I think.  Let me know if anyone of you are interested in testing this.

@carlthedever
thats great news !! i\'m glad to see there is some efforts to make the Z more then just the most expensive game-boy
(sorry,  didn\'t want to offend anyone!!) i\'d be happy to help testing. which version did you port ? Pi oder the full korganizer ?

i did setup my linux box last weekend and tried to port qualendar but the dev-env is still not fully setup. also i still
need to get my wlan-usb-stick to work:(

also, i\'d like to see a web-browser which IS working. konq is just to slow on my c700 (needs about 2minutes to
display google.com), mozilla is to big.... maybe dillo ?

It would be nice to have a VNC client working.  Should be an easy port.
