sd card woes
« on: February 06, 2004, 03:36:07 am »
Having searched the forums, it seems that SD cards going bad is not so uncommon ...

Mine\'s from Expansys in the UK - their own brand, so who knows who made it - and ran perfectly in my 5500, but since I moved to the 760, I\'ve had nothing but trouble, whether formatted FAT of ext2.

What I noticed from previous postings is that there are some brands that seem to be unreliable, but is there any concensus on a manufacturer whose cards work reliably with the 760?

Thanks,

Mike.

is it brand? or just size?
ie: will a 128mb SD be more reliable than a 512?

my 512 is a joke.  :-<  it\'s a lexar.
I was thinking about getting a 256, if those were all stable.

Mine was a 256.

SD seems to be not so good on the Z, which is a shame. I\'ve borrowed a 256MB Lexar for a while. If it seems stable, I\'ll get one of those ...
