Thanks for your handy tip, dtruchan!  I'm beginnng to feel very excited about the good deal of capabilities and potentials of mrxvt (even with CJK display and input support!)

start in with --help. There will be help and parametrs to resize...

Ah. OK, thanks. When I first installed and ran it and found that the window wasn't resizable (using the window control buttons) I thought stuff it and promptly uninstalled it.

Now I've reinstalled it and on closer examination the "Setup Graphics" menu allows setting the window to whatever size you want. Silly me.

thanks again

As for mrxvt, how to enable transparent display in matchbox (there is no .Xdefaults)?  Thanks!

[Update]
Got it!  Just create a ~/.mrxvtrc or ~/.Xdefaults and refer to this:
http://materm.sourceforge.net/docs/xdefaults-sample.txt

This is what I have only:
Code: [Select]
mrxvt*vt0*tabTitle:        term1
mrxvt*vt1*tabTitle:        term2
mrxvt*vt2*tabTitle:        term3
mrxvt*initTermNumber:      3
mrxvt*transparent:         True
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=103958\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

You can also use 'Ctrl+Shift+r' toggle transparency.

Is it a mode to have semi-transparent background ? With the solutions above the background is all trasparent but i want a semi-traspearent background....

How about the opacity option?
See if this help: [a href=\"http://linux.com.hk/PenguinWeb/manpage.jsp?section=1&name=mrxvt]http://linux.com.hk/PenguinWeb/manpage.jsp...on=1&name=mrxvt[/url]

If you just want to make the background darker you could use the tint and shade options.
for example:
Code: [Select]
mrxvt -tr -shade 50 -tint white
If you want a truly transparent background, you will have to wait for the Composite extension to be built for pdaXrom.
860 Debian EABI
Lexar Cards
WCF11 v2.5
Mittoni SD-CF Adapter
Gentoo

This is how I use the man pager (thanks dtruchan for the package!)
It works just fine.  Please correct me if there is any better method.

#1 Download and install man_1.6_armv5tel.ipk in this thread and groff_1.19.1_armv5tel.ipk (coz man needs nroff) in the feeds

#2 Grab the latest man pages file from ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/docs/manpages/  and extract them on card (> 20MB)

#3 Edit /etc/man.conf and do a little configuration:
-- Add a new MANPATH line such as /mnt/card/man-pages-2.14
-- In the PAGER line, change /usr/bin/less -is to /bin/more (coz 'less' is missing )
-- In the BROWSER and HTMLPAGER lines set the paths of your desired browser (e.g. /usr/bin/dillo)

#4 Just type 'man any_command' to look up the relevant man pages (or man man for a good start).
