Sharp/tkc Rom Wifi Tool On A Linux Desktop
« on: October 28, 2005, 10:22:02 pm »
What is the tool for configuring the network on a Z (5500) called, and can it run on a desktop system?

I'm having a heck of a time getting wifi configured on my desktop system, but the same AP and setup was a breeze to get working on a TKC rom 5500(which I sold).

Normally you should just be able to use ifconfig to configure the interface (wlan0 probably) - or use the graphical tools which come with your distro. One thing to check is that the wifi device has been detected and that you have kernel modules for it, etc.
