Cf, Usb Stick Mounted Read-only

I flashed to the new Cacko ROM 1.23 on my C1000.

But suddenly from today I get the CF card mounted read-only a and any write operation gives an error.
Thsi is happening on my CF card (BTW does the CF card have a small tab for switching between read and write modes ? I dont seem to have any tabs on it) as well as my 1GB USB stick.

The point is the USB stick write operation did work at one point, but doesnt now.
Of course I used the USB on a comuter but did a umount properly before putting it back on the Zaurus.

The CF card does work read/write when I use the PC link connection to a CF memory and connect my Zaurus to the Windows PC. But after stopping the USB Mass memory driver and ejecting it, writing from the zaurus itself to the CF fails.

Any ideas how to get both working read/write again ?

I had a similar problem on my SD card before and a fsck fixed it.
