Where Is /etc/dir_colors
« on: November 23, 2005, 01:16:13 am »
Hello,
On the sharpRom or equivalent (Guylhem, Cacko) how do you chage the colors of file types that are output from ls comand. for expample dir are blue by default etc. If i want to change this on a normal linux disto it is usually in /etc/dir_colors or something similar. What would be the equivalent to this on the Zaurus?

I would like to modify this file to customize my terminal. I have not tried this but if it was to be created would it be read? Because the .bashrc file is not there by default but it is read if it is created and contains information like path variables or aliases and such. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
-Mark

Well that did not really help. It talks mostly about /etc/profile. You can just create this file and everything works like it is supposed to. I guess this would be similar if you could just create /etc/dir_colors. The only thing is i am not sure that is the correct name. Some distros use a differnet name for it. Anyone Know?
