Resume Problems On Longer Suspend
« on: November 27, 2005, 11:21:59 am »
RC12: Is anyone experiencing the Z freezing up after a longer suspend, i.e. 30 mins or so?

I've recently been noticing this behavior, and seems to be associated with chrooted debian - only to the extent that it seems that if I chroot  in a terminal, then leave this terminal in the foreground, the Z freezes after a longer suspend.

Would think that it's not the case when a running debian app is in the foreground, and I would think it's not the case when a pdaXrom app is in the foreground.

I'm saying "would think" because I haven't done real testing of the behavior and it always catches me unprepared.

Is it what I'm thinking - that chrooted debian somehow has a problem on suspend and resume if it's in the foreground, but if it's in the back it's OK?

Or is it something else?

Debian :
- kbudget (compiled on debian)
- a debian terminal where I started it from
- feh (great and very fast image viewer)
- a debian terminal in front
pdaX :
- xfce4
- xfe
- korganizer
- portabase
