Xmms Drops First Second Or So
« on: December 18, 2005, 08:20:12 am »
I'm testing RC12 at the moment, with e17 (thanks daalnroti!), on my C700. If I could find a solution to xmms missing the first second or so off mp3s, I would put this on my main Z.

I seem to remember this being listed as a bug in an earlier RC. Anyone ever find a solution?

Cheers,

Mike.

Go into the XMMS settings (by clicking on the icon on the top-left corner.), in Options or something enable a 2 second gap between songs.

I've been having the same problems. I have tried messing with the buffer and between-song gap, but I just can't get it to work right. I'm using a 5gb microdrive for all my songs, are you using one also or just conventional flash? It's pretty annoying to me, and it would be great to see this problem fixed.

You can fix the problem by replacing the libxmmsmad.so in /usr/lib/xmms/Input with the gunzip'ed  [ Invalid Attachment ] .

What I did is compile xmms-mad 0.8.

Good grief, I'd given up hope.

A big thanks to you.
