I was reading up on the faq with open zaurus whose 3.5 package seems to support the sl-5600 now. It mentioned a concern that the Sharp rom does touch the bootloader and if it failed could damage your system.
If it did mess up, is it recoverable?

Question
What happens if flashing my zaurus fails?
Answer
If flashing fails, do NOT worry. You can simply flash again. Flashing your Zaurus with OpenZaurus again will not harm or disable the use of your Zaurus (Note: This is not the case with the Sharp Rom, which can mess up while writing the bootloader. OZ does not touch the Zaurus bootloader).
Also, if your only means of accessing your CF card is via the Zaurus, it is advisable to have another CF card that contains the Sharp OSPACK (or ROMIMAGE in the case of SL-5000d) file handy in the highly unlikely event of something going wrong.
